North of 60 on the Alaska Highway
To shorten our next leg to Whitehorse, we spent the night in Teslin, a native village just over the Yukon/BC border. On our trip, the Alaska highway crossed the border then dipped back down into BC before again crossing the 60th parallel.. We hoped to see the Tlingit Museum while there but were a day early. Tourist season starts June 1 in this part of the north. We continue to travel through the most beautiful country imaginable and are now following the headwaters of the Yukon River.
