Once in Whitehorse we settled for three nights(!) into our campground before heading to town to visit the Tourist Information office and then sit over coffee and plan our stay. The wind was howling and we wondered if this Lethbridge-type weather was typical. The banners on main street were whipping, dust devils were flying and sandwich signs were blown over. We turned our backs into the wind as we walked down the street to avoid mouths full of dust! Residents assure us it isn't normal. We are back to take pictures and enjoy the downtown on Monday.
